The trip began in Kansai Airport. We flew to Kuala Lumpur then London.

We explored Bournemouth city centre and the 15km beach. We also had time to have fish ‘n’ chips and go shopping.

The main reason for visiting England was to attend English classes.

The weather was lovely. We could walk around the city and local parks in our free time.

In the evenings, we could enjoy different events such as live music, games, Game of Mafia, and karaoke/disco.

All of the activities meant we could mix with other nationalities, make friends from around the world, and practise using English.

We also had time to participate in special activities in the local area. We watched a professional football match, toured the stadium, and celebrate a birthday.

Finally, we returned to Japan with better English and a new love for travel.

Student Voices

・There are many people from a lot of countries. I could make friends there, and the staff are so kind. Actually, I talked everyday about small things, for example shopping, food, and friends.

・Living apart from my family, there were innumerable cultural differences. Whatever I saw, heard, or felt was new to me … I met lots of nice people in England; all of my classmates and teachers at school were very nice.

・I could meet many people from all over the world and also learned a lot of differences between countries … but I could recognise the charm of Japan which I didn’t realise before. This trip has become a precious experience for me and I would like to go back to the UK again someday!
