Italian-Japanese Culture Event (Friday)
イタリア·日本 文化イベント（7/18金曜日）

The Italian pavilion hosted an event for Italian specialist school on Friday evening. The event showcased the excellent efforts of students from across Italy. KIHS student, Tetsu Noguchi, was requested to act as translator for the event to allow the crowd of Expo guests to understand the proceedings. He took to the stage alongside the hosts of the events, who spoke Italian, and highlighted the key efforts of the students on stage.

７月１８日金曜日の夕方、イタリアパビリオン主催のイタリア現地の専門学校を対象としたイベントが開催されました。このイベントでは、イタリア各地の専門学校生の様々な取り組みが紹介されます。万博来場者が内容を理解できるよう、イタリアパビリオンより本校生徒の野口綴さんが通訳として依頼されました。彼はイタリア語を話すイベント司会者と共にステージに上がり、学生たちの活躍を万博来場者にアピールしました。

The event began in the conference room of the pavilion. In the formal space above the main hall, Tetsu prepared for go onstage to complete two task, a speech about his experience at the Ministry’s event and as a translator on the main stage. He worked hard to learn about the different schools and what they had on display in the main pavilion.

イベントはパビリオンの会議室で始まりました。フォーマルな会議室で綴さんは先月参加したイタリア教育省のイベントのレポートと、通訳という２つの大役を務めるための準備をしました。彼は、参加校やメインパビリオンの展示について懸命に学びました。

Inside the pavilion’s auditorium, Italian Education Minister Guiseppe Valditara spoke about the need to make connections in the physical and digital worlds we live in and look to the future when deciding how to use AI. Tetsu also spoke about how students can learn from each other through event such as those organised by the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit. After the event, Ambassador Mario Vattani took time to talk to Tetsu about the event.

パビリオンの講堂の中で、Guiseppe Valditaraイタリア教育大臣は、AIをどのように活用するか判断する時は、私たちが住んでいる物理的世界とデジタルの世界につながり、未来を見据える必要性がある、ということを語られました。また、綴さんはイタリア教育省が主催したようなイベントを通じた生徒たちの協働学習について語りました。イベント後には、Mario Vattani大使が綴さんと本イベントについて話し合いました。

Outside, however, there was no formality. An excited crowd waited to enter the pavilion but we treated to world-class performers of music and dance. The stage was lit up with students displaying their exception talents and creativity, and Tetsu kept his nerves in check while he spoke with confidence to the crowds of onlookers.

外では格式ばった雰囲気はなく、パビリオン入場を楽しみに待つ人たちが大勢列をなす一方で、私たちは世界的な音楽とダンスのパフォーマーたちをもてなしていました。舞台では生徒たちの並外れた才能と創造力で輝き、綴さんは緊張を抑えながら群衆に自信を持って語りかけていました。

The success of this event has earned Tetsu an invitation to Naples, Italy for the Next Generation AI International Summit.

このイベントの成功により、綴さんはイタリアのナポリで開催される次世代AI国際サミットへの招待を受けることになりました！
